Amalia's thoughts week 44

Week 44! Robots! Yay!
Amalia's thoughts week 44

Guuuuuteeen morgen!

I'm writing this to you Friday morning - Morgonstudion on in the background, cappuchino in my cup, and a techy start of my day. When I’m sending it Saturday morning, I’m on an early morning train to Sveriges Elevkårer’s board meeting.

It’s been a TRUE busy spring in full Amalia fashion - 2 part time jobs, a startup, election committee work in full speed, and a new board assignment. Thank god I burned out at 12 so I know my limits 🫠

Anyways!

I've hit so many fun milestones this week within my startup crewcial. I wish EVERYBODY someday would hear the words "I recommend the platform to everyone I meet" about something you've built yourself. It is addicting, and I desperately needed it after a week of feeling like I was just threading water on all levels of my life. I've been stuck in a deadlock mindset. What is even "good" anymore when everything people compare you to is unicorn companies like Lovable & Legora?

On one end, I get angry with myself for not going after the big bucks, going the VC route, and blitz scaling. On the other end, I get angry with myself for buying the narrative that it is the only way to build a good company.

But in a time where we need more visible, raising women within tech and AI, I'm thinking - maybe I should be one of them? At the same time, that argument actually won't cut it with me. I would also love to be a woman within tech and AI that builds a sustainable business from scratch.

So yeah, hearing that what you do matters, that it helps people to find communities and that it spreads through word of mouth, and while doing it bootstrapped to the teeth... THAT matters. And writing it here is important to me to tell you that I'm just human.

Long intro today - so let’s just dig in! 🍴
