Amalia's thoughts week 7

Good morning party peepz! 🪩✨

Happy valentines in arrears! 💖

This newsletter is brought to you by an early Friday morning at the gym, walking on the threadmill while writing. My new life hack, btw. I do this type of multitasking a lot nowadays to keep the life puzzle in check (read: get time to go to the gym). For example, soon the F1 season starts, and then I'll just have to watch cars go vroom on the threadmill too. (I’m still trying to figure out how I can bring all these mingle events to the gym, keeping you posted)

But, in fact, sometimes when I stress over this newsletter not being finished on time, I also have to remind myself that… I pay to distribute this newsletter (and a large majority of you consume it for free). So if it's on the threadmill I have time to write, it's where I'll write. Obligations schmobligations, right?

There’s actually been an ongoing discussion in the writers/newsletter community in Sweden the past months on how hard it is to become profitable on these kinds of ventures, e.g in the Mediepodden podcast. Sadly, the few profiting right now, are often far right or very authoritarian. Even, some newsletter writers that I follow have cancelled their newsletters, and I find this soooo sad.

(So if you're pro non-far right/authoritarian content, maybe this is the time to think of what you promote? And if you don’t find incentives, DM me and we’ll take a fika and I can pick your brain about this?!?! The UX researcher in me is super curious)

Oki, enough thinking about cash para dineros, let’s dig into this week’s thoughts!

Pssst 1. If you wanna give this newsletter a late birthday gift you can do it here.

Pssst 2. I'm also sharing my writing tips & tricks (mostly for LinkedIn) in a paid newsletter called I'm happy to announce which you can sign up to here.
